Collaborative Negotiation Training
This highly interactive distance learning course uses a combination of webinar-style live sessions and self-paced prework completed by participants to teach child support professionals negotiation skills. Topics include using a collaborative negotiation approach that engages and educates parents; learning and practicing key negotiation and communication skills, and improving your child support program’s performance by reaching agreements with parents. The course is delivered over three half-day virtual sessions and utilizes breakout rooms to facilitate case-study exercises and role-playing. Participants also access narrated PowerPoint presentations and exercises as prework before each live session. All participants will receive post-training reinforcement delivered via email to include different types of questions requiring the learner to recall and reflect on specific information learned to support the transfer of knowledge and application in their work practices.
