CSF Sponsored, Shared Expertise at the Western Interstate Child Support Enforcement Council (WICSEC) Annual Conference

SILVER SPRING, MD (September 28, 2017) – Six members from the Center for the Support of Families (CSF) team led workshops at the Western Interstate Child Support Enforcement Council (WICSEC) Annual Conference in Anchorage, Alaska, recently. WICSEC is an organization of public and private child support professionals from the states, tribes and territories west of the Mississippi. More than 400 people attended the conference from over 80 jurisdictions. In addition to providing staff to teach 11 different workshop sessions, CSF was the “recharging station sponsor” for the conference.

CSF Division Vice President Kathy Sokolik said, “Each year, WICSEC offers a unique opportunity to meet with leadership from the Western states and tribes, the federal government and other child support colleagues to discuss trends in the program and to share our expertise. As consulting and program leaders, with several WICSEC board members and honorary life members among our staff, we look forward to participating in discussions with our child support enforcement coworkers.”

The 2017 WICSEC Conference took place Sept. 24 -28 at the Dena’ina Convention Center. The conference theme was “Breaking Ice and Melting Differences.” CSF staff led workshops on topics ranging from eLearning and implementation science to international cooperation and intergovernmental case processing.

Working at the local, state, and federal levels, and together, CSF provides a wide range of program and technical consulting services that are geared toward improving service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and staff productivity and satisfaction.
