Beyond Oversight: Independent QA as a Strategic Partner – Season 4, Episode 4

As public sector technology projects grow more complex, agencies need more than oversight to achieve successful outcomes. Independent quality assurance (QA) provides objective insight that helps leaders identify risks early, strengthen decision-making, and keep initiatives moving forward.

In this episode of the Igniting Impact Podcast, Stacey is joined by Tony Sutton, IT Highway Program Coordinator at the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), and Adam Brown, Management Consultant at Public Knowledge® (PK), to discuss how independent QA has evolved into a strategic partner throughout the project lifecycle. Together, they explore how an independent perspective builds trust, improves collaboration, and supports better project outcomes.

Drawing on ODOT’s experience, Tony and Adam explore the role independent QA plays in complex public sector projects. They share lessons on building trusted partnerships that help leaders make informed decisions throughout project delivery.

Independent QA That Strengthens Project Delivery

These insights reflect how PK approaches independent QA as a collaborative partner throughout project delivery. Rather than simply evaluating progress, independent QA gives leaders an objective perspective that helps them address issues early and make informed decisions as projects evolve.
