We work with agencies to analyze service delivery systems at local, regional, and state levels and provide detailed strategies to improve system efficiency, effectiveness, and customer service. We offer tailored training to further assist child support professionals. Some of our courses are now available online and on-demand. We understand the importance of providing consistent professional development for optimal service delivery. Our goal is to reduce barriers to accessing the information needed for child support professionals to do their job and grow in their careers.
“PK delivered outstanding trainings on motivational interviewing, customer service, unintended bias, and secondary trauma for my staff. The highlight was their two-day, highly interactive, Collaborative Negotiations training. The Collaborative Negotiations training had great professional development content but, in addition, was an excellent bonding opportunity for staff. Folks seemed to genuinely have a good time and made new connections. It was perfect!”

We understand how challenging it can be to find training opportunities for your child support professionals that are relevant for immediate application. To help you overcome this challenge, we created a variety of course offerings that can be delivered on-demand or in-person.
We created a Community of Practice specifically to develop an overarching child support vision and plans for improvement.
Public Knowledge® improved the quality of the Oregon DOJ Division of Child Support's new child support enforcement system project: Origin System Project. Providing IV&V reviews of processes and artifacts and recognizing improvement opportunities along with Public Knowledge® commitment to collaboration with the agency.
The environment of child welfare organizations is constantly changing, yet the objective remains constant: the well-being of children and promoting family resiliency. Agencies must have optimized Continuous Quality Improvement systems and implement CQI processes for improved outcomes and sustainable changes.
Child welfare agencies are looking for new strategies to do proactive searches, enhance engagement, expedite licensing, and provide ongoing support to ensure that children are placed with a relative or resource caregiver who has a previous connection to them and the ability to accommodate foster children.

Legislation passed in the aftermath of the death of a child in the North Carolina Child Welfare system motivated State and county leaders to collaborate on ways to improve service delivery across multiple programs. Public Knowledge® was selected as an independent, third-party to help North Carolina achieve their goal.
