SILVER SPRING, MD (January 30, 2018) – Six members from the Center for the Support of Families (CSF) team will lead plenary sessions and workshops at the National Child Support Enforcement Association’s Annual Policy Forum in Washington DC in February. NCSEA serves child support professionals, agencies, and strategic partners worldwide through professional development, communications, public awareness, and advocacy to enhance the financial, medical and emotional support that parents provide for their children. More than 400 people are expected to attend the conference from across the country and around the world.
Diane Potts, the President of NCSEA and a Senior Associate in the CSF Division of SLI, will be hosting and welcoming attendees to this year’s policy forum.
Ms. Potts says, “I am honored to be a part of this preeminent conference that brings the child support leaders of today and tomorrow to Washington to discuss program policies that impact millions of families. This year’s conference theme ‘Shaping the Future of Child Support’ highlights our collective role in further advancing the already successful child support program by developing that impactful vision of tomorrow. I am proud to be part of a company that supports NCSEA financially and by sharing the talent of our child support team.”
CSF Division Vice President Kathy Sokolik, who served on the planning committee for this year’s forum and is both an honorary life member and former president of NCSEA, will also be moderating a plenary session on Culture and Communication. Vernon Drew, also an honorary life member and former NCSEA president, COO of SLI Government Solutions and President of its CSF Division will be part of a panel exploring the Future of Child Support Caseloads. Elizabeth Morgan, another planning committee member, will be moderating a panel on child support orders while CSF consultant Hannah Roots will offer expertise on international child support.
At last summer’s annual conference, NCSEA presented CSF with its Corporate Associate of the Year Award for its outstanding support and continued dedication to the nation’s child support program.
In addition to providing expertise during the policy forum, CSF is delivering special training before and after the policy forum to members of the child support community. Working with the federal Office of Child Support Enforcement CSF will provide Procedural Justice training to support grantees working with OCSE’s Procedural Justice Alternatives to Contempt grants. After the policy forum, CSF under a contract with OCSE will offer specialized training to state child directors.
Working at the local, state and federal levels, and together, CSF provides a wide range of program and technical consulting services that are geared toward improving service delivery, cost effectiveness, and staff productivity and satisfaction.
