Recognizing the Pioneers of Change

Hispanic Heritage Month, observed from September 15 to October 15, originated as a celebration of independence for five Hispanic countries. Today, it has evolved into a vital opportunity to honor the rich cultural diversity and groundbreaking contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx communities, which comprise 19 percent of the U.S. population. This year’s theme is Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together. It highlights the visionary leaders who have shaped the past and paved the way for a more inclusive future.

At Public Knowledge® (PK), inclusion is a fundamental value that drives our work. Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates inclusion and the value of unique perspectives and experiences. We honor the leaders who have advanced social justice, education, and public policy in the Hispanic community. These pioneers have shown how inclusion is about actively participating in the conversation and making your voice heard.
