Compelling Sessions Were on the Agenda

AVEnueS: Using Tech to Tackle Implicit Bias in Service Delivery

Moderated by Molly Tierney from Accenture, Micheal McAfee from PolicyLink, this session began with a VR scenario of a home visit with for an at-risk teen. From there, the presentation was centered around how Health and Human Services can use can use both technology and policy to promote racial equity and justice.

Available, Accessible, Actionable: Digital Service Delivery for Health & Human Services

Hosted by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, the spoke about their journey to modernize the front-end customer experience using human-centered design / experience-led transformation. They emphasized that many people applied for government services for the very first time in 2020, with a variety of customer personas, asking the question of how to make services efficient and effective for everyone.
