Igniting Impact Podcast – Our Partnership with Pulaski County – Episode 8

This episode explores the work Public Knowledge® (PK) has done alongside Pulaski County. Stacey Moss interviews management consultants Elizabeth Black and Lamar Smith and AR Department of Human Services Deputy Director of Youth and Families Mischa Martin. Together, they discuss the evolution of our work with Pulaski County. What began as a consulting on the county’s permanency safety consultations became a vision and strategy to stabilize the workforce and demonstrate a new way of working in child welfare, focusing on reunification, permanency, and community.

Graphic containing quote: "They [PK] were hope builders. Everyone, including the community, knew we were in crisis...to have Public Knowledge come in with such amazing people with knowledge and expertise started building hope."

Additionally, they dive into the partnership aspect of this process so far, and PK’s focus on authentic communication, building high levels of trust, transparency, and continuous adaptation to the changing needs of the county.
