SLI Government Solutions Awarded IV&V Contract Supporting Nevada’s New Child Support Enforcement System Replacement

Note: On January 1, 2021, Public Knowledge, LLC merged with the Center for System Integrity (CSI) and the Center for the Support of Families (CSF), formerly part of SLI Government Solutions (SLI), to form Public Knowledge®. This merger united three leaders in management consulting, enhancing expertise, and expanding services. CSI adds IT consulting capabilities in project oversight, quality assurance, and security assessments, while CSF brings proven strategies to improve service delivery systems for children and families. Together, Public Knowledge® focuses on Programs, People, and Systems to deliver impactful solutions nationwide.

United States – April 26, 2018 – SLI Government Solutions’ Center for Systems Integrity has been issued a Notice of Award to provide Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) services for Nevada’s Child Support Enforcement (CSE) System Replacement project. With an estimated value of more than $2 million, the six-year contract will run from May 1, 2018 through April 30, 2024. During the course of the contract, SLI will verify on a semi-annual basis that the system development activities and results for each phase of the project conform to specifications and requirements.

The SLI IV&V team will also validate functionality to confirm that the developed system complies with the current and planned needs of the Nevada CSE staff and their customers. In addition, SLI’s IV&V experts will identify areas of deficiencies and risk and recommend solutions, thus contributing to the overall success of the project. The federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) requires that IV&V services be a part of a CSE replacement project. IV&V helps ensure that vendors building the system and state staff assigned to the project produce quality processes and products.

“This is a meaningful award for SLI,” declared Steven Esposito, President and CEO of SLI Government Solutions. “Our 2016 acquisition of the Center for the Support of Families (CSF) was, in part, driven by our recognition that states were beginning to plan for replacing their aging child support systems. They would, therefore, require IV&V and, just as important, subject-matter expertise to support their implementation of high-quality systems and programs.”

“With the addition of CSF, our commitment to providing the most knowledgeable technical and business experts is resonating with the child support and child welfare communities. Our combined companies have more than 100 technical and subject-matter experts focused on delivering superior professional IT and human services consulting to HHS agencies across the country,” Esposito concluded.
