Durham, NC

Since 2023, Kate has been a management consultant at Public Knowledge®. Her background is in mental health, project management, and program administration. Kate received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, her master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and also has PMP certification. When not working, Kate enjoys working on jigsaw puzzles with her wife, Annette (with help from their three cats), making paper crafts, and serving as the in-house amateur meteorologist. 

Concord, NC

Since 2023, Linda has been a management consultant at Public Knowledge®. Linda is responsible for spearheading research efforts to gather information for projects and propose creative solutions. To the firm, Linda brings over 20 years of experience as a child support professional. She seeks collaborative opportunities to work with project managers and team members to support project administration, time management, and budgeting. When not working, Linda enjoys reading, jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her family, and writing her first novel. 

Northfield, NJ

Since 2023, Melissa Murphy has been a management consultant at Public Knowledge®. She is experienced in strategic planning, evaluation, and training and development. She is also a subject matter expert on social determinants of health, and factors contributing to a child’s quality and length of life. Melissa received her MSW from Temple University and her MPH at the Medical College of Wisconsin. When not working, Melissa enjoys the challenge of triathlon and the adventure of traveling. 

Buffalo, NY

Since 2023, Sarah has been a management consultant at Public Knowledge®. Sarah is responsible for supporting clients by providing independent verification and validation. Her previous role at the Grand Junction Regional Center involved supervising direct care employees, creating strategic professional development and leadership opportunities, and developing the agency’s emergency response program per CMS regulations. Sarah received her master’s in Education Leadership and Public Administration from Colorado Mesa University and Adams State. When not working, Sarah enjoys horseback riding and being mercilessly teased by her two teenage boys. 

Reston, VA

Since 2018, Nancy has been a management consultant at Public Knowledge®. In her time at the firm, she has contracted with Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Child Support Enforcement, Division of Federal Systems, in Data Access. She is involved in the Paperwork Reduction Act and agreements securing data privacy. Nancy has 32 years of experience providing legal and attorney supervisory services to a state child support enforcement agency.

Nancy was an associate attorney with the Internal Revenue Service for three years. Nancy is also a past president and has been, since 1991, a board member of ERICSA. She is a native Northern Virginian and resides with Trixie, a tuxedo cat, and Ricky, a sable ferret.       

Somerville, NJ 

Since 2018, Mia has been a management consultant at Public Knowledge®.  Mia is responsible for developing and implementing high-quality training and professional development for human services professionals using the latest trends and technologies to support instructor-led training, web-based training (WBT), professional development training, technical assistance, and coaching. She has an established reputation in training, curriculum development, and program evaluation, with more than 25 years of corporate and non-profit experience.

Mia also presents at conferences and policy forums locally and nationally, is a charter member of the National Child Support Enforcement Association NCSEA U Committee, and serves as a Public Member of the New Jersey Board of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. She is a graduate of Montclair State University and holds certifications in Project Management, Help Desk Management, and Non-Profit and Public Management. When not working, Mia enjoys music, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Washington, NJ

Since 2021, Katie has been a management consultant at Public Knowledge®. She previously worked as a legal consultant, where she was responsible for research and writing involving child support. Katie has five years of extensive legal research and writing experience, primarily in family law, and two years of experience as a management analyst at the Delaware Department of Justice. Katie received her Juris Doctor degree from Delaware Law School and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Moravian College. When not working, Katie enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Silver Spring, MD

Since 2021, Eric has been a management consultant at Public Knowledge®. Specializing in training development and instructional design for health and human services, he has a strong focus on integrating eLearning and virtual delivery into larger training implementation models. Starting with the Center for the Support of Families in 2013, he has worked on child welfare and child support projects at State and Federal levels for 10 years, creating digital training to reinforce the best practices of frontline workers in tandem with supplemental training designed to help their supervisors and leaders better coach, mentor, and support them. With over 20 years of design experience, Eric brings his creativity, passion, and empathy to training development. His goal is always to design and produce engaging, interactive eLearning deliverables and virtual work simulations that are trauma-informed allowing users a safe space to learn and make mistakes. When not working, Eric enjoys art, literature, and getting outside.

Lakewood, NJ

Since August 2019, Debbie has been a management consultant at Public Knowledge®. Debbie has 30 years of technology experience working in the public and private sectors. She is the IV&V Lead for the South Carolina Replacement Medicaid Management Information System (RMMIS). Debbie is a frequent speaker and moderator at national Medicaid conferences and served as Chair of the Public Sector Technology Group (PSTG) Agile Best Practices Committee from 2018 – to 2021.

Debbie holds a master’s degree in Software Engineering from West Virginia University and is certified by the Global Association of Quality Management as a Certified Project Director (CPD). Debbie has expertise in health and human services, higher education, program/project management, and Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) development. In addition, Debbie holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of Southern Maine and in the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL® v3 Foundation) by AXELOS Global Best Practice. Debbie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, photography, and reading when not working.
